Zoom Tool and its use in Photoshop
The Zoom Tool changes the magnification of the document view so you can inspect small details or return to a wider view. Zooming changes only how large the image appears on screen; it does not resize the image itself.
Select the Zoom Tool
Select the Zoom Tool from the toolbar when you want to magnify or reduce the document view.
Identify an area that needs closer editing
In the example, the eye is too small to edit comfortably at the current magnification.
Zoom in
Choose Zoom In and click the area you want to magnify. Repeated clicks increase the magnification through Photoshop's available zoom levels.
Zoom out or fit the image on screen
After editing, use Zoom Out to reduce the view or use the Fit on Screen option to bring the whole image back into the document window.
