Color Sampler Tool for checking color values in Photoshop
The Color Sampler Tool lets you place sample points at selected locations in an image and view their color information. The workflow shown here uses up to four sample points so different areas can be compared while editing.
Select the Color Sampler Tool
Select the Color Sampler Tool from the toolbar before placing sample points on the image.
Open the image to inspect
Choose the image containing the colors you want to monitor. Multiple sample points can be placed on different parts of the same image.
Place a sample point
Click the location you want to sample. Photoshop records the color information for that point so you can monitor it while making adjustments.
Read the sampled color values
The color values for the placed sample points can be viewed in Photoshop's information panel. These readings help compare selected locations without repeatedly sampling them.
