Hand Tool to move around an image in Photoshop
The Hand Tool changes which part of a zoomed image is visible in the document window. It pans the view without moving the image layer itself. You can also temporarily access it by holding the Spacebar while another tool is selected.
Select the Hand Tool
Select the Hand Tool from the toolbar when you want to move the view around the document window.
Start with the full image
This example begins with the image positioned so most of the work area is visible.
Zoom into the image
After zooming in, only part of the image is visible at once.
Pan the zoomed view
Select the Hand Tool, then click and drag inside the document to move the visible area to the part you want to inspect or edit.
