Crop Tool tutorial in Photoshop
By using the Crop Tool, a portion of an image can be selected and unwanted areas can be removed. Cropping can help improve the composition and reduce the image dimensions.
Select the Crop Tool
The Crop Tool is grouped near the selection tools. Cropping removes portions of an image so the remaining area becomes the final composition.
Open the image and start the crop
Select the Crop Tool, then click near one corner of the image and drag toward the area you want to keep.
Adjust the crop area
Drag the crop boundary until it covers the desired area and size.
Confirm the crop
After selecting the required area, confirm the crop when Photoshop asks whether the crop should be applied.
Final cropped image
After the crop is confirmed, only the selected composition remains.
