Eyedropper Tool for sampling colors in Photoshop
The Eyedropper Tool samples a color from an image and makes that color available for use elsewhere. This is useful when you want to reuse an exact color that already appears in the artwork instead of trying to match it manually.
Select the Eyedropper Tool
Select the Eyedropper Tool from the toolbar. Clicking an image location samples the color at that point.
Choose a color already in the image
The original example contains several shapes filled with different colors. One of those existing colors will be sampled and reused.
Prepare the target shape
A new shape is created as the target. The goal is to fill it using the color sampled from one of the existing shapes.
Sample and apply the color
With the Eyedropper Tool selected, click the desired source color. Photoshop sets the sampled color as the foreground color. You can then use that foreground color to fill or paint the target shape.
