Move Tool tutorial in Photoshop
The Move Tool is used to reposition a selection or layer. It is useful after adding text, shapes or another image when the new content needs to be aligned or moved to a different position.
Select the Move Tool
The Move Tool is located near the selection tools. It can drag selected content or a layer to a new location and can also help align layers.
Drag the layer or object
In this example, two colored rectangles overlap. Select the yellow rectangle or its layer, then use the Move Tool to drag it toward the required position.
Check the final position
After dragging, the yellow rectangle appears in its new location. Continue adjusting until the composition is aligned as required.
