Interpret a date and time in a selected timezone

Use a named IANA timezone with DateTimeImmutable so the input is interpreted with an explicit timezone instead of relying on a server default.

$utc = new DateTimeImmutable('2026-09-14 12:00:00', new DateTimeZone('UTC'));
$india = $utc->setTimezone(new DateTimeZone('Asia/Kolkata'));
echo $india->format('Y-m-d H:i:s T');
