Response Object in ASP
The Classic ASP Response object controls what the server sends back to the browser. It can write output, manage buffered output, redirect the browser, clear buffered content, and stop further script execution.
Use the methods below according to the job you need. Buffering is enabled by default in current IIS Classic ASP configuration, although a server administrator can change that setting.
Response.Write
Use
Response.Write to send text or generated HTML to the response body.
Response.Flush
Use
Response.Flush to send currently buffered output before the page finishes processing.
Response.Clear
Use
Response.Clear to discard output that is still in the response buffer without sending it.
Response.End
Use
Response.End when the page must stop executing immediately.
Response.redirect
Use
Response.Redirect to send the browser to another URL before response headers have been committed.
